This Costa Rican coffee comes from the Beneficio San Diego mill in the Tarrazú region. While being founded in 1888 the San Diego mill has become one of the most modern mills in Costa Rica. The San Diego mill processes coffee cherries for small scale farmers in their surrounding communities. Their goal is to work within their community to not only improve the quality of coffee grown in the region but help cultivate sustainable growing practices and improve growers livelihood.
